The following are proofs Thom has offered that everything he has stated is true and actually happened. They are the only proofs I know about. In my final meeting, he claimed that there was additional information, that if I knew, I wouldn’t even think of questioning him on this. Jerry Paradise also stated he was given additional information. I received no proof concerning the mind controlled woman who murdered her husband in Arizona.
#1 Interpretation of body language
Thom stated, when he was selling the alleged high priest a car, while in the car dealership they came upon each other like unexpectedly around a corner. Thom claimed he could see evil in the man’s face. But, then he regained his composure, and put back on the normal facade. But for an instance, Thom saw the true man underneath. At this point Thom already knew the client “remembered” this man was the high priest. Confirmation bias.
Thom stated that Sue, his wife, met with the client’s mother. The very first recovered memory, before satanism, before her parents involvement, was that an uncle abused her. When Sue told the mother this, Sue described the mother as cold and unresponsive, like there was nothing there. How can you interpret someone’s reaction to a claim like that?
Thom stated once he and Sue were in the family’s living room, I assume at the start of the counseling? It should be noted Thom approached the family to offer help. He gauged the family’s reaction as very strange. I’m not sure how I’d react to a guy coming into my house. Not sure how his assessment of the family’s body language leads him to conclude they are generational satanists.

Thom claims the family, the parents, have committed horrific acts. They have been members of a church their entire lives. I recorded the church they attended. If they were so evil, why did they send their daughter money to help with her child? Why did they take their daughter to a number of psychologists in order to try and help her with her eating disorder, and whatever had happened before she came to you? If they have evil acts to hide, this would be self-defeating.
As for the high priest, I have spoken to multiple people regarding his reputation. Their family were members of a church. His wife taught sunday school. My wife’s mother used to play at her house. Said he was always reading the bible. The high priest’s daughter, who you claim was under mind control to cross state lines to kill her husband, seems to be a normal, loving mother of her children. She and the client were close friends. Why did the client only remember her family, and her close friend’s family, as Satanists? In Breaking the Circle(page 90), the counselor is told to make sure the client knows that the satanist, the abuser, could be neighbors or members of their church, the perfect hiding spot for the abuser. The seeds could have been planted in her mind.

You asked me, “Joe, if this isn’t true, how did she know the words used in satanic rituals?” I responded – How do you know the words they use in satanic rituals? You responded – “I read it in a book.” You scoff at the idea that she could have been introduced to elements of satanism from pop culture and religious settings, and yet we were in the full swing of the Satanic panic. It was on daytime talk shows, and speakers touring the country like Mike Warnke describing cult practices. Many books were bestsellers, such as Michelle Remembers, Chick Tracts, and other books written by alleged survivors. I was aware of satanic elements as young as first and second grade from Sunday School at Cornerstone, because it was considered so prevalent and dangerous at the time.

She remembered a horse barn with a concrete floor, and was able to lead you there. There, you found a nice car, and in the glovebox, you found an ID of an influential high ranking businessman of Lebanon county. I assume she means she was abused there? The abuse took place when she was a child. I am unsure what a car, more than 20 years later there, would signify. I asked if you reported this “high ranking” man as a child abuser. You said no, what were you going to do, he’s a “high ranking” man. I am unsure I follow the logic.
I have another explanation. I interviewed a man who knew the alleged high priest. I never told him why I was asking about him. He said the man and his wife would have youth group events in a barn. I asked him if it was the same type of barn she described. It was.

The father of this satanic family said he was good friends with Thom’s uncle. There are many people who could be interviewed in the community, especially twenty years ago, who could at least give a much greater background to the families in question. Was no corroboration outside of recovered memories ever done?

Dan Vanvleet said, in regards to alleged surgeries to remove foreign objects that the cult had placed in the person’s body, that nothing was ever found. This was a widely repeated story I remember hearing in youth group when I was 12. Only official medical records would be acceptable in settling that debate, which would clearly be private. Just as with the recovered memory movements within the UFO abudction community, many UFO abductees reported foreign objects in their bodies.
